What is Mama Dispensary?
Mama Dispensary was founded by Ally, a mum of one—soon to be two—and is run alongside fellow pharmacist, mum and long time friend, Samantha. Our mission is to take the guesswork out of maternal and baby wellness. Even with more than 25 years of combined pharmacy experience, we understand how overwhelming it can be to figure out which products are safe, suitable, and effective at every stage of motherhood.

How long does the pharmacist check & processing take?
Once you place your order, one of our pharmacists will review your answers and ensure it is safe for you and your family. Once reviewed, we will pack and send your parcel out promptly. If there are any issues, we will contact you as soon as possible.
We aim to have parcels ready for dispatch within 1-2 working days Monday to Friday (assuming all items are in stock). Orders placed before 12pm, we will endeavour to process and get it sent out to you that same day.
If there are any delays we will contact you immediately. Order processing and delivery times may vary in peak times such as public holidays and long weekends.

How long does shipping take?
Once the item(s) has been shipped and left Mama Dispensary, the delivery time is estimated based on NZ Post.

Delivery targets are a guide only. Delivery outside major towns and cities, including to rural or remote areas can take longer. Please ensure you select the correct shipping option to avoid any delays. Business days means days during the week, not including weekend days and public holidays. We have no control over the delivery timeframes once it is in transit.
We only deliver to registered addresses in New Zealand and do not ship overseas. All New Zealand orders are sent via courier and tracking numbers will be provided.
Can I do Click & Collect?
Yes, absolutely. Please make sure you wait for confirmation your order is ready to collect before turning up to avoid disappointment.

What is the return policy?
Our returns policy is in addition to your rights under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993, Sale of Goods Act 1908, and Fair Trading Act 1986 (together, “New Zealand Consumer Law”) because we want you to be satisfied with your purchase. Please read the following carefully to ensure you are fully aware of your rights under this policy and our obligations to you. Nothing in our returns policy is intended to exclude, restrict or modify the application of any NZ Consumer Law.
To be eligible for a return, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, unused, with tags, and in its original packaging. You’ll also need the receipt or proof of purchase.
To start a return, you can contact us at hello@mamadispensary.co.nz. If your return is accepted, you will be responsible for the returning the item back to us including covering the cost of postage. Items sent back to us without first requesting a return will not be accepted.

Damages and issues Please inspect your order upon reception and contact us immediately if the item is defective, damaged or if you receive the wrong item, so that we can evaluate the issue and make it right.
Exceptions / non-returnable items Certain types of items cannot be returned. Items of a personal nature, vitamins, medicines, and opened items, or items sold on mark down or clearance, cannot be exchanged or returned, unless the product is faulty or expired. Unfortunately, we cannot accept returns on sale items or gift cards.
Other returns
Mama Dispensary will accept product returns and provide you with an exchange, refund or repair where:
The product is faulty or is not of acceptable quality, or
Significantly different to those shown or described to you, or
The product is unsafe, and
Mama Dispensary may elect to return the product to the manufacturer to determine the nature of the problem. Mama Dispensary reserves the right not to offer an exchange, refund or repair where the item fault is a result of misuse or neglect.
Exchanges The fastest way to ensure you get what you want is to return the item you have, and once the return is accepted, make a separate purchase for the new item.
Refunds We will notify you once we’ve received and inspected your return, and let you know if the refund was approved or not. If approved, you’ll be automatically refunded on your original payment method within 10 business days. Please remember it can take some time for your bank or credit card company to process and post the refund too. If more than 15 business days have passed since we’ve approved your return, please contact us at hello@mamadispensary.co.nz
